What types of products does Vitamin Angels accept for donation? | top

We primarily accept: child and adult multivitamins; prenatal vitamins; iron, iodine and zinc supplements; antiparasitics; and protein powders. If you have a question about a particular nutritional supplement that is not on this list, please email donate@vitaminangels.org or call us at 805.564.8400.

What are the requirements to donate product to Vitamin Angels? | top

The product must be shipped directly from the manufacturer, distributor or store. Vitamin Angels cannot accept product donations from individuals. The expiration date must be at least one year out. This makes it possible for us to ship internationally and clear customs overseas. In addition, the product must be new with all labels and packaging in place. If your product is expired but can be retested to extend the expiration date, Vitamin Angels will be able to accept this product. <See more information below>

Can Vitamin Angels accept product donations from individuals? | top

Unfortunately, Vitamin Angels cannot accept product from individuals. The product must be shipped directly from the manufacturer, distributor or store.

Does Vitamin Angels accept bulk donations? | top

Yes. For bulk donations, a packing list must accompany each shipment. We may also request the product formulation, Certificate of Analysis, and Certificate of Origin if necessary.

Does Vitamin Angels accept expired product? | top

No, Vitamin Angels is unable to accept any expired product. We require that the expiration date must be at least one year out to allow time for international shipments and customs clearance. However, if the product is retested and a new Certificate of Analysis is produced with an extended expiration date, Vitamin Angels will be able to accept this product. You are responsible for all costs associated with retesting the product.

What is the first step in making a product donation to Vitamin Angels? | top

If you meet the requirements to donate product, the first step is to fill out the Donation Offer Forms and submit them to donate@vitaminangels.org. On the spreadsheet form, please fill in the entire row for each product you would like to donate.

Does Vitamin Angels pick up or arrange shipping of the donated product? | top

Product donors are responsible for coordinating and covering the cost of shipping the product domestically. The cost of shipping is also a tax-deductible donation.

Is my product donation tax-deductible? Will I get a receipt or confirmation of my donation? | top

Yes, the entire donation (including shipping) is tax-deductible. When the donation is finalized, we will provide a letter of acknowledgement and tax forms for your records within 4 weeks of receiving the product.
